Karan Ashley stars as Aisha Campbell on "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," one of the three Stone Canyon students introduced during the second season’s "The Ninja Encounter" storyline. Aisha first appears as a confident and capable teenager whose athletic skill, courage, and strong sense of justice place her naturally alongside Rocky and Adam. Her arrival gives the series a new female hero before she officially becomes part of the Power Rangers team.
Before joining "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," Ashley had performed as part of the music group K.R.U.S.H. and was beginning her screen career when she was cast as Aisha. Her role on the series becomes her major television breakthrough, placing her inside one of the most popular children’s action shows of the 1990s. Aisha’s introduction makes Ashley one of the key new performers brought in during the show’s first major cast change.
In joining the series, Ashley enters during a storyline that carefully introduces Aisha before she receives Ranger powers. The character is shown as brave, energetic, and compassionate, giving her a clear identity before she becomes the second Yellow Ranger. Her first appearances help establish why Aisha belongs in the Rangers’ world and why she can step into the team’s heroic responsibilities.
At the time she first appears on "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," Ashley is introduced as part of the next generation of Angel Grove heroes. Her portrayal of Aisha brings warmth, confidence, and enthusiasm to the ensemble, helping the series continue its momentum while expanding the team beyond its original lineup.
