Johnny Yong Bosch stars as Adam Park on "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," one of three Stone Canyon students introduced during the second season’s "The Ninja Encounter" storyline. Adam first appears as a talented young martial artist and classmate of Rocky DeSantos and Aisha Campbell, entering the series before he officially becomes part of the Power Rangers team. Calm, skilled, and quietly dependable, Adam is introduced as someone whose courage and abilities make him stand out even before he receives Ranger powers.
Before joining "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," Bosch had a background in martial arts, which helped shape Adam’s physical presence and fighting style on the series. His casting gives the show a new performer with strong action ability at a time when the series is expanding beyond its original teen lineup. Adam quickly becomes one of the major new faces brought into Angel Grove’s world.
In joining the series, Bosch steps into a role designed to gradually connect him to the existing Rangers before Adam becomes the second Black Ranger. His first appearances establish him as capable, loyal, and brave, allowing the character’s transition into the team to feel connected to his personality rather than simply to the costume change. Adam’s introduction is part of one of the show’s most important cast transitions.
At the time he first appears on "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," Bosch is being introduced to viewers as a new young hero within the show’s universe. His portrayal of Adam brings a quieter, more grounded energy to the ensemble, helping the series move into its next phase while keeping the focus on teamwork, courage, and friendship.
