Legend
has it that almost three hundred years ago, a group of warlocks intended
to take over Harmony followed by the rest of the Eastern Seaboard. The
warlocks called a conference to take place on an island. They liked this
land so much that they decided it would make an excellent base of operations.
The idea was to spread their evil as widely as possible without being
detected. The warlocks wanted to start off with a real bang and spent
a lot of time coming up with a very powerful spell. But they realized
they had forgotten their scepters, a necessary tool in the art of casting
spells.

But a young witch was in attendance who'd made her way over from the
mainland. She just happened to have brought enough scepters to go around.
But the witch gave the warlocks the wrong scepters so when they cast their
spell all the negative energy they were trying to send away from the island
boomeranged and destroyed the warlocks themselves! Now all of you potential
visitors
don't go getting scared! This story has simply been told
for years to explain how the island got its name. But like all legends
it's just that
a legend!
[Tabitha's Notes]: Ha! The good people of the world
like to believe that this is a merely a legend, but this tale is as factual
as the story of Jack the Ripper. I should know
I was the "young
witch" in attendance. And for the record, switching the scepters
was a simple error -- anyone could have made it!

There is an old legend about a young girl who was madly in love with
a boy. The girl and the boy were best friends from the time they were
children, but nothing romantic had ever developed between them. On a spring
day, the boy and the girl decided to go on a trip to Warlock Island. The
girl's cousin as well as some of their other close friends accompanied
them. Once on the island, something magical happened. The boy realized
that he felt more than friendship for the girl. As they spent more time
on the island, the two fell more deeply in love. After returning to the
mainland, they married right away and lived happily ever after
all
because of the power of Warlock Island.

[Tabitha's notes]: What a bunch of hogwash! They actually
left out all the death and destruction
the only good part of the
story! Here's the part they don't tell you -- the two cousins were actually
in love with the same boy. One of the cousins was his girlfriend, while
the other was constantly plotting to steal him away. On the island, the
girlfriend met a timely end
and the boy wound up falling in love
with the schemer. All's well that ends well!

Legend has it that long ago, a young man visited Warlock Island while
his older brother was on an island far away. While on this other island,
the older brother experienced a romantic adventure with the love of his
life. During this getaway, the brother learned a great lesson -- that
the flame of love sustains through whatever life has in store. Many believe
that it was actually the lure between the two islands that helped the
brother's love keep burning
[Tabitha's notes]: I had to read this romantic rubbish
twice to make sure my 300-year-old eyes had not deceived me! They failed
to mention that the brother's great love was lost forever at sea. And
here's the most wonderful part -- history will repeat itself in the fall
of 2001 with Harmony's greatest lovers! Yes indeed, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald
will lose his beloved Sheridan Crane. And what's in store for them is
quite a cruel trick of fate
