Ben Blake
Bryan Kirkwood plays Ben, a gifted, but self-absorbed musician who performs weekly at a local club, and always tries to offer "big brother" advice to his younger siblings. Although Kirkwood considers himself the oldest in his family, it is only by six minutes, since he has a twin brother Denny, who is also an actor.
Kirkwood first caught the acting bug at age eight, when he and his brother began a yearly ritual of performing for their family at holidays. However, it was an acting teacher at school that encouraged him to pursue his Hollywood dream, and he made it a reality after he moved to Los Angeles in 1994. His television credits include roles in "Lois & Clark," "Weird Science," the NBC series "The Pretender" and "Hang Time," and a recurring role on "The Nanny." He also appeared in the film "Rave," with Nicholle Tom ("The Nanny").
Like his character, Kirkwood is an avid guitar player and enjoys all sports, including volleyball, skiing, skateboarding, hiking and bungee jumping. He also hopes to get his own pet iguana soon. Born in Olympia, Washington and raised in nearby Bellevue, Kirkwood now lives in Los Angeles, but often heads north to visit his family, including his younger brothers Ricky and Chandler. His birthday is March 20.
